Through many mass shootings the Christian Churches have been essentially silent in the public square, engaging instead socio-political questions.  Christians have ceded the ground on which only they can speak to - the spiritual  solutions to the widespread evil violence and murder we are facing in recent years.

They call it the nuclear option, but the cloture rule, relied on too much in recent years, requires 60 votes to end debate so the Senate can actually vote on a bill.  What sense does this make when the minority abuse it and use it against Americans?  It's time the Senate use a simple majority of votes to pass bills...
